Default New Axles Vibrating

Hey all, i jus put on some new cv axles on my 2000 civic SI with a stock B16. I replaced the old ones because the boot was broken on one of them and thought it was about time to change both. I bought some GSP brand axles from discount auto parts, and ever since i put them on the car started shaking when accelerating. I took them back and exchanged them for another set and the new set shakes also. I think GSP is a POS brand. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

i am 98% sure that they clicked in. if they dont click in could it be possible that it would cause the shaking. I am positive the right side one went into the tranny as far as possible. i am not sure about the left side that connects to the half shaft. it seems that it is on all the way and i cannot pull it back off once i put it on but maybe i have to hammer it on or something???

I just went through 4 axles before the 5th one from a different store finally worked ok.

The 4th one actually broke after about 9 miles of driving.

So much for cheap life time replacement axles.

IMO rebuilt axles are hit and miss. I've purchased 3 from NAPA that were junk. Went to Advanced Auto, ordered the same one, perfect.

On my crx, went back to Advance, put it in, garbage. Had to order 2 to get one that did'nt vibrate the shaft.

I'm going to start going the dealer route next time...

You have obviously never had a bad reman cv shaft before. Trust me when I say this it is a very common problem. 2 things that can help. 1st buy a honda reman unit. 2nd if you don't have the cash to do it and have to go aftermarket, ask the store if they have different grades of reman exp economy/ premium and old buy the higher end unit make sure that they have all new outer joint.
