Default wanna boost and D16Y8!!

I decided that i wanna build my D16Y8 and turbo it. Now some people tell me to just swap it. If i actually build it the whole nine yards built head low comp pistons all that good stuff, what HP should i expect and do you think its a good way to go with building the SOHC??? ??

with a pretty good street tune and the right combo of parts, 300 is about right. They're a great set-up, but i might just swap it and boost later. A stock B16 can make roughly 300whp on stock internals, and just go from there. It's all about goals.

http://www.turbod16.com or http://www.d-series.org

they will answer all your questions if you decide to stay with the D.

Figure out what your goals are. 300 hp or 600 hp?

just keep the stock internals and get bigger injectors, arp headstuds and a nice clutch and a street tune around 8 psi or so = one quick sohc you'll make stock gsr's look like they're going in reverse
