Default Clutch Noise

Recently I noticed a noise comming from the clutch I assume. Lately my clutch has been squeeking when i push it in...just needs a bit of oil. However the noise I here now happens when I let the clutch go. When the clutch is in the sound is gone, when I'm sitting around in nuetral it sounds kind of like something rattling lightly. Any help would be great. Sorry for the crappy explination.

The squeaking normally comes from the clutch pedal pivot and return spring and slave cylinder/fork assembly. Spray some teflon lube and that will fix it. The fork will be a challenge to lube. The fork has a pivot point that is lubed by grease from the factory. Over time, it dries out so it squeaks too.
Now, the rattle is a different story. Is it coming from the engine/transmission compartment? If it does, then it could be the throw-out bearing grease drying out. When you push the pedal, it puts pressure on the thrust bearings so it quiets it down. When you let the clutch pedal go, it relieves the pressure on the bearing so it rattles.

Actually the rattling would be more related to the throwout bearing, since he just let the clutch pedal out.

sounds like the input shaft bearing. mine is doing the same thing, mine has gotten louder since i've been driving with the noise for about 4 months. now it sounds like i have a bag of marbles in my tranny.
