Default Track car project.

Had this one sitting around gathering dust. Decided it's time to do something with it. Going to build up a track car... So lets see what happens...

Suggestions, and ideas welcome. I have so many i'd never get it started. So someone push me in the right direction please.

If its going to be a track car, safty first. Do a cage then go from there. I wish i did that but i went motor first and now have to slow down at the track until i could afford a cage

Hey,

A cage is definately first on the list. As well as some hefty suspension upgrades. I've broken so many cars, so i know what to expect from the car. Stock is simply NOT going to cut it. Probably doing to go with a weld in cage, not going to be able to use the rear doors either by the time i'm done.
Still no idea what motor to put in there, looking at a H22a... Intend on running a lot of boost, so perhaps something like a K20a might be better.

Well,

Living in South Africa, to get a proper Civic hatch is near impossible. This car is also a stolen recovery... It's been totally stripped inside, motor and gearbox are still running, but not in very good condition. So selling it will never happen. Even if i did sell it, wouldn't cover even 1/5th of getting a hatch. When i got the car back last year, i had originally planned on putting a V8 into it... Which might very well still happen.

Yeah,

I'm still toying with the idea of putting a Lexus 1UZ-FE (quite popular with the Ultima GTR/Canam owners. Fastest one i've seen, ~800BHP, 0-200mph in less than 20 seconds or something rediculus like that.) motor in with a Supra gearbox. Will obviously have to convert to RWD, but that's nothing too serious.

Whichever motor i use i am going to turbo it... So if i do go V8, it's sure to be very interesting indeed.
