i have a d16z6 motor single vtech...how much hp can i get out of it? wat would i have to do? i wanna get the max out of it

You'll probably pull about 105-110 at the wheels good condition assumed, it's rated at 125 at the flywheel from the factory.

To get the max out of it on stock internals for a good price you have to boost.

Anything less is <FONT SIZE="5">INADEQUATE!!</FONT>

 

Go for boost if you're gonna stick with a d series, they are a strong motor to start with.

 

boost 7-8 lbs and get around 180 or so.

The most I've heard of is 586whp, and that wasn't anywhere near cheap...

approximately 73,574 hp with an electric supercharger.

know a guy who drags one w/ 442 whp on 28 pounds of boost... not cheap but it runs 10.6.

 

the d-series has been into the 9's, the potential is up to the builder.

we had 586whp, 680 estimated crank hp.

You need to decide what is doable for you. It took us a lot of money to get it right.

You'll need about $12,000.00 could be more. But we have the knowledge to do it right the 3rd time. Took us a couple of try's 2 blocks, 3 set's of pistons. 3 cams, heads turbo's, 2 custom exhaust manifolds...
