Hey guys, here's the deal.. I'm planning on buying a new car this week.. I've basically narrowed it down to 2 cars that I'm serious about.. The RSX Type S or a Prelude.. they both are around 200hp and close to the same torque too.. the RSX is newer with technology and all but there is more aftermarket parts for the lude and I can make those faster quicker.. I wanted to ask you guys opinion on which car to get and I know most of you will say to go with the lude b/c we're in the prelude forum and all, but what's the reason.. what makes the prelude better than the Type S and what do ya'll recommend about getting a prelude (which one to buy)..why go with the lude and how much are they? Thanks in advance guys..

 

well heres my deal i looked at a rsx s and the car is huge in not really a big fan of huge cars i drive a 4th gen lude and i love it the money was right and i really love the ludes not a lot of them around all you see are civic and integras im one to be the odd ball so thats y i choose the lude. anything more you wish to talk about on this subject ill talk with you on it.

 

I'd rather have the RSX-S. They seem to make great gains from basic mods like a CAI and exhaust. Assuming one can afford an RSX-S with little sweat, I'd go for it.

 

Go to http://www.clubrsx.com and read about all the problems they're having with them. If you go RSX-S at least wait until the 2003 model. Never buy a car in the first model year.

Personally I love the 4th gen lude, but in them long run the RSX-S will be a good car with lots of support.

 

the rsx-s is lighter and probably faster in a straight line. especially with the 6spd tranny. and yes, mods like cai will give very good gains. im sure the lude would out handle the rsx stock for stock. those things look like they have bad body roll. honestly, and not just because im in the lude forum, i would still get the lude, because they are rarer and look nicer. i hate the look of the rsx-s. but yes, if you do decide to get the rsx-s, wait till next year for the improvements.

 

why is this here... Wait on the RSX - S if you can, a lot of them are putting down low HP #s...
