JDM LSD, and it doesnt make any noise, turning or at any speed. Change the oil asap, to see what going on, before it takes the tranny out to.

If no metal shaving or anything, maybe its on its last leg(just a guess BTW). Whats the mileage?

the thing is i just had it overhauled, i installed a 4.9 fd along with mf 3,4,5th gears and carbon synchros. i heard the sound after that, dunno if the sound is due to the fd, though i doubt it. aside from the noise everything works perfect. the noise isn't that loud, but it's definitely present

Mine made noise under the conditions you mention, several years ago after the first (and last) tranny fluid change done at the dealer. I took it to my friend's shop and did another drain & fill. The old fluid looked fine. No noises after that. I think they may not have filled it enough. Never found out for sure.

With my first itr, the dealership replaced the tranny fluid with some non-Honda fluid, it made noises at slow speed. I brought the car back and they changed the fluid out for the Honda fluid, the noise was gone and I never heard it again.

I've blown up a tranny or something, but never had any other noises except for totally fk'ed bearings.
Are you sure it's not a axle problem?

Good luck.
