Take it off and take it to the store to match it up. Or buy a new end for like $30.00.

I don't think you can run a die over it because it will be difficult to keep it from turning. You may be able to get vise grips on that short stub, but for $30.00 get a new end.

To remove it spray the threads with wd40 or pb blaster. hold the shaft with a wrench and break the nut loose. The idea is to count the number of turns and put the new one on in the same number of turns. That way your alignment won't be to far off.

dude dont mess with your rod LMAO sorry you can crash if your tie rod comes apart so just buy a new one 50 bucks at carquest, i always say with things like tires and tie rods if in doubt throw it out and buy new no amount of savings is worth your life or injury and your car

yeah, you can fix the balljoint with a die. its 10x1.25

however you need to keep the balljoint from spinning. i used a visegrip to hold the tapered part of the balljoint. problem is that it marred the surface, which is not good. but i just filed it away and it worked fine.

i also recommend usng a tap to chase the threads on the nut. which almost always is needed in my experience.

the lower balljoint is 12x1.25
