Well, like I told I was on my 1st DRAG event in Hungary where a real DRAG race like in USA was. All the stuff with christmas tree, 60 feet time, 1/8 time, 1/4 time.
It was very very hot outside, we had 35 degree Celsius (95 Farenheit). The track is about 500 meters (1600 feet) above sea-level. Local guys told me that this track slightly climbs up and it is about 1 seconds slower than other tracks. I was boosting around 17 psi and uped it to 21 in 3rd and 4th for my best run. Damn car was not as quick as usual, cause I realy feelt a he power loss due the hot air. Hot air sux and make the feel like a stock type-R
, I realy need something to cooling down the intake air.
My 1/8 mile time: 9.5xx
My 1/4 mile time 14.0xx @ 185 kmH (115 mph)
There must be something wrong, cause last year I pulled a 14.3xx at 155 kpH (96 mph) with the JRSC at 5.5psim and 30kph differenc must be a way better time, right?! Also I droves with heavy 17inchers and 225/35/17 with my old setup.
I used 225/45/16 on 7.5x16 Volk te 37 and tried 2 runs with 185/50/15 track slicks on stock rims. With the slicks I pulled the best 1/8 mile time and lost only 0.05 seconds to my friends AWD Audi S3 with 265bhp.
There was an another AWD S3 with full MTM tuning (Germany) and dyno proven 327 bhp. Man, this car realy jumped from the start. His best time was 14.1xx.
I don't know my 60 feet time and my reaction time, it will need a few days to be online I guess.
BTW: I won my clas (2.0 - 2.5 liters)
but when I compare our times with the times you pull, there is something wrong I think. I had no wheel spin at all, and my 1/8 mile time is realy good compared to an AWD Audi S3 which always jumps away from the start, I don't see improvements without DRAG slicks or radials.
Was it the hot air, was it the sligtly going up track, was it the sea-level or was it just me beeing an ***.
Some corvettes with 125 or more shots NOS and some engine mods pulled low 12 to high 13 using M/T DRAG slicks size XXXL.
PS: I'm ashame on my times with my powerful car.

well, i know for a fact that hot weather will kill your 1/4 mile times. im not sure how much experience you have at racing your car... but like everyone tells me.. practice makes perfect.
hot weather and boosting, along with fucked up tracks will kill any man's self asteem. I wouldn't worry about it.
Go find a real track during late fall. You'll have folks bowing to your car.

damn that sucks man , maybe the elvation is it , and the hot weather will kill it quick . damn thats alot of boost.
**** in my area on slicks . youd be doing 11's garunteed

your making the power just not getting it down to the ground. 115 mph traps is good for a 12.0 hot weather is a big factor especially if you got a lot of humidity. that is worth .3-.4 easy. elevation is always a factor depending how high you are, its worth .3 sometimes more.
