Default 00 civic si Sensor Question

Over the past few weeks, i've been tripping my CEL in my 00 Civic SI and blowing my alt/speedo sensor. I did some reading on here and a few people mentioned the o2 sensor might be grounding out on the body and also the harness under the intake manifold might be grounding out. Currently, I have a test pipe with a mechanical o2 simulator (using spark plug non-foulers). This caused the o2 sensor to be jammed against the body pretty good, so i figured that was probably the main problem and fixed that. But i figured since i was under the car, i'd take a look under the intake manifold, and dangling there was a cut wire that is suppose to go to a sensor, looks to be one of the power steering hoses. Something like this wouldn't cause the alt fuse to blow, would it? I'm guessing it is an important sensor to have plugged in, but the only code i've been tripping is the alt/speedo one. Any input would be great!! Heres a few pics of the sensor too....green ring around it.
TIA!

thats sensor is your power steering pressure switch. not exactly sure why they ever put that in there but it could cause the alt. fuse to blow.
