Heavy Duty Brakes Option on an EG?
So I've got a guy that's trying to sell me a '95 DX Sedan.
We agreed that it'd be VA state inspected and pass emissions when I pick it up. On the test drive, I noticed a groaning rear wheel bearing and found that it'll need that to pass VA's state inspection, which he agreed to replace...
After some communications breakdowns and delays, I'm beginning to doubt this deal and am starting to think I got scammed.
His latest story is that every wheel bearing he gets is wrong and when he gave the VIN to the dealer, they said that it was ordered with heavy duty brakes that're 9.5 inch drums versus the standard 9 inch... Because of that, they have a different wheel bearing that has to be special ordered. He said that it'd be here by Monday... Uhh Dude. Monday's a holiday. Nobody gets parts Monday. I don't care if they're overnight parts from Japan.
Looking at the RockAuto website, I only see one listing for a rear wheel bearing for a '95 Civic DX with drum brakes.
I used to have an EF Civic 4wd Wagon... I had issues with optional drum sizes there affecting all the brake parts, so I thought it might be plausible...
Should I call him on the BS or does it seem plausible?
Kinda need info fast so that I can get the law involved.

I'm wondering why they put the effort of engineering two drum brake setups when they have the EX disc brake option available.
Bump.
There are two sets of drum brakes. 8.5 inch and 9.5 inch. The larger of the two are for Automatic transmission, the smaller is for manual and the car was a manual...
HOWEVER, there is only one listing for the wheel bearing.
