Default Buying a 93 Honda cx hatchback with no motor.

Like the title says I am buying a 93 hatchback with no motor. My question is what higher performance motor would be the easiest to put in. And if you could when you list the motor tell me how much it will be and what all I will need to put it in. Thanks guys.

From experience there is enought info out there. For whatever your thinking of from B series to H series to K motors so save everyone the time of bashing you and just look harder.

A d16z6 would be the best motor (for the easiest the swap) that could go into your car.

you guys are poons. give the man what he asked for!

if you want a d series - "stock" - your looking at like 500 tops for the whole swap.

if you want a little more bang for your buck - go bseries
a bseries swap can go from 1000 (typically LS B18B ) to 2000 (GSR B18C1). you can get HOT swaps for cheaper, but i wouldnt suggest it.

the LS should be pretty good for daily driving, but doesnt have VTEC. the GSR has vtec, if you want VTEC, get the GSR!!!!

if you buy a "motor swap" it SHOULD come with everything you need.

to do a swap in your car, you will need:
axles and halfshaft
tranny, clutch and flywheel
longblock
engine wiring harness
mounts
ECU - you need the correct one for your setup (p72 for gsr p75 for LS)

If you are going to have VTEC, you will need to run the wires for the solenoids and the knock sensor.

thats my two cents!
