If it still has the original plug wires on it i'd keep them unless they show signs of damage. Stock wires are very durable.

Thanks for the replys. My accord has 140,000 miles on it and since it's new to me, I'm not sure if its the original wire set. They say 'prestolite' on them. Are these original, and if so, is 140,000 miles about time to swap them out? I know NGK makes a set, should I go with them or something from the Honda dealership?
In my manual it states that NGK's are the OEM wires for My 96. If you go to the dealership that's probably what you'll get. Prestolite are a replacement wire. Therefore your wires have probably been replaced. If you have a multimeter or Ohm meter handy you can give your wires a check. The resistance of every single wire shouldn't exceed 25 kOhms. If they exceed that you should replace them.
I would only use genuine Honda spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotors. I would buy platimum plugs from autozone or pebboy. personal choice. I had problems with my previous Hondas using non-Honda plug wires (79 88 Accord). Currently my wife drives a 96 Accord (6cyls EX).
