i have been searching for a long time now. i have a b18a1 with a s1 trans,
at the back of the trans. right where the speedo cable goes, there are two fittings coming out looks like for hoses. but where do they go. this motor used to be auto is there anyway that part was for a auto and they put it on for a 5sp? please help. here are some pics.



oh and another question, because the motor used to be auto i have an egr valve. is there a cap i can buy or just take it off? because i wanna clean up the motor a bit. thanks

 

the nipples are for the hoses on the power steering speed sensor

you can remove the EGR valve and make a cover plate for it out of 1/8" aluminum plate with 2 bolt holes

 

so i guess my car (91 civic hatch) dosnt use that? so can i just make a loop so nothing comes out?

thanks man! just came back from Home depot now with sheet metal for the egr. and i already have a loop hose. thanks again

 

I remove that from my tranny and dropped in a SI speedo part.

is there any benifit from that? or just to remove the power steering fittings.
