Default Installed DC5 DC headers BUT

from where the headers meet the engine smoke came out for a few seconds and it smelled burnt so i turned it off and then back on. Once i turned it back on it didn't smoke, but you could still smell that weird smell... I was wondering if it is normal maybe it's breaking into them??? thanks

x2 lol

It's normal for that to happen. Especially touching the header with your hands, using WD40/Liquid Wrench, stuff like that will burn when the car's on and will eventually burn off and you'll be ok

what did you use wd40 for? If you say to brake up the rusty nuts that is the wrong application to use wd40 for. WD40 is mainly for like squeeky hinges or something that needs a lubricant. It doesn't eat the rust away from nuts and bolts. Use PB blast, that **** right there will eat the rust off the bolts and make it easier to break the nut from the bolt. Just spray a little bit of PB on the bolt and let it sit for couple minutes and viola. just a little FYI.

it still might smell burnt anyways if its new because new exhaust components burn off a coating that is in side the header and exhaust piping. it is normal to smell something burning when installing any exhaust component for the first time! dont sweat man!
