so have you been dyno'd? What's your numbers?
I honestly don't think you made a drastic change if you just slapped your a2 head on tsx bottom end. Did you add the tsx cams into the a2 head? What exactly did you do?

well i found out that the 06 TSX cams, if added to the a2 head, is phenominal and increases torque nicely but tends to run into the problem of if you want to go boost because stock internals are not used to that increase of torque. I was just going to mention if he added the tsx cams into the a2 head, he could of saved 2k and had a nice torque increase. I really don't believe a tsx bottom end would actually make you any more power by just adding the a2 head onto it. I think i found my answers for the TSX cams tho.

The TSX is a k24 right? Isn't this the same idea as a b-series ls/vtec frankstein?

forgot about the k24 frankenstein. he's now a 2.4...
forgot completely bout that. So he did get an increase in torque changing the bottom end.

he could make things more interesting by throwing the RBB cams into the a2 head. But if he did that, i hope he don't go boost. Can't really boost much with the k24a2 frankenstein swap unless he used the CR-V bottom end.

what the hell are you talking about the TSX block is a far better block than the crv block if you ask me. it has stronger rods and oil squirters if i was going boost i would rather go for the tsx bottom end than the crv.

blow boost on a 10.1-5(as opposed to the 9.1-5 crv bottom end) compression AND a higher increase in torque see how long your internals hold up especially with the dramitic torque increase and now lower revving point. The tsx bottom end is more for the N/A . You must think because of the more power, you want that setup. Sometimes, more power isn't sometimes good power. Maybe you should look into it more before you jump to conclusions.

i agree the tsx is stronger but that's if you want to go all motor route.

there are a few more things about the tsx block i dont like.........so i bought a crv block and remidied the downfalls of the k24a1 with k20a2 parts........

I hope that you have Kpro

A k24 is nice if you stay NA, but I am not a fan of them for boost.

A boosted FWD car has enough problems with traction without the added displacement.
