Default shift bushing install..tranny fluid?

friend of mine has an eg hatch with gsr swap.. he was changing the tranny side shift bushing.. is tranny fluid supposed to come out? ;x

that happened to me b4, the bolt that goes in there is short, he might have used a longer bolt and punched thru the trans, i did that b4 and i couldnt stop the leak.

hm, he used the bolt that came out of it..

anyone else know if that bolt hole is connected to the trans resevoir?

Definetly not. Hopefully he didn't over tighten the bolt and crack the trans.

there should not be any fluid associated with that bolt what so ever unless he over tightened and cracked the trans casing. Have him check the axle seal right above that to see if there is fluid around that. If so its the axle seal thats bad.

weird... when he took the bolt out to change the bushing.. thats when it started pouring out of the bolt hole.

If thats the case then the someone put the wrong bolt in there. A bolt being to long would have punctured through the side of the casing....therefore making a hole to leak from
