i am buying my first RSX and i def wnated the type s .... the engine has 84K on it... what are the things i should change before heavy driving (specific to this car) not in general... IF ANYTHING ... or watch out for... ENGINE unmolested...

While you are considering your purchase and sitting in the car, read that wonderful owner's manual that is provided with each new vehicle (the seller does have the owner's manual, don't they?) and compare it with the service records the owner has (they should have a record of services performed). If the history shows deficiencies in the maintenance of the vehicle, those are the areas of upkeep you may want to adress. Driving, heavy or otherwise, does not alter the basic service intervals or requirements.

As for what to watch out for... that vintage has had problems with a stiff shift or grind into second gear. Annoying rattles were a popular complaint too.
