mat sensor question
I baught the performer x intake and bolted it to the motor last night. there was 1 issue. the mat sensor holes are on the front of the stock intake and on the performer x they are on the back but the problem is the wire wont reach to the back. the performer x kit came with a block off plate for this. but if i run it without will a check engine light come on? my idea was i have an extra harness for whatever and i was going to splice the wire to my current one and just extend the wire to make it long enough. and input would be appreciative?
hope all of this sounds right.

yupp not map its mat sensor. on the box it says it comes with "mat" sensor block off plate. if i block it then the plug will just be laying there.. im going to run longer wire and just screw it in like it should be.. the fitment for this intake sucks i cant even use the stock intake mount. it doesnt have holes for it. and i have to buy longer hoses

Edelbrock refers to MAT (Manifold Air Temperature) as a universal term. In the Honda world this sensor is known as IAT (Inake Air Temperature). This sensor gives the ECU feedback about the air temperature, to which the ECU adjusts parameters accordingly.
This is why this sensor is crucial.
The stock intake mount is not needed. A lot of people remove it anyway even on their stock intake manifolds.
It is an after market manifold, the dimensions are different and especially with this one. Be glad that your only problem are short hoses and wires. Those are easy fixes.
