screw the nut-swingers. do what you want to the car and make it do what makes you happy.

Good thing he's got enough backbone to do what he wants instead of what you want

Anyway, OP: the hitch is actually mounted to the bumper rebar, I've got one sitting in my yard that you can HAVE for the cost of packing it/shipping it at the UPS store.

P.S. It won't destroy your Del Sol.

I will warn though, Honda recommends not to use Civics for towing.

I would suggest a very big brake upgrade to go with whatever other precautions you're taking Nothing wrong with towing something light - like an ATV or bike on a wheeled trailer - but it's nice to have something like RL calipers clamping your rotors to keep you from drifting into traffic before you get to the track

welp unless you have some huge brakes under it your not gonna be able to stop dumb **** so your post about the light truck engine was completely and utterly pointless. cause a stock civic can pull an atv or other small toys around, but when they go to stop is when they will have a problem.

so instead of you bragging about how you have a light truck engine and 6-speed you should have mentioned something about brakes.

but hey whatever do me a favor and go pull an atv or whatever around fast as you possibly can with your truck engine

Of course it's your car and you can do what you want. But if you damage it because your car isn't supposed to tow something, oh well, it's your car and you can break it if you want to.

i hope your not going to be pulling anything over 1000 lbs with that.. that will be a load on that little car. if you do pull with it, look to be replacing clutches, breaks, and all the rest of the added wear. hondas arent designed to pull anything.. i say just keep it light thats my 2 cents

Okay... so I'm not the only one who giggles at one of the most common misspellings on this site.

"Grille" gets to me too.
