94 accord making a wierd noise when i start it up

when i first start my car up it make a howling noise but when it idles down it quits. it sounds like its coming from the belts . some body told me it could be my power steering pump. anybody know what it could be?

you should open up the hood and see where the noise is coming from ..
it could be belts but also alternator , water pump, p/s ,..

does your steering wheel get stiff when it does this? if it's hard to turn the wheels and if the noise gets louder it's your power steering...I have the same problem, just no money to get it fixed
