I'm a traitor...well sort of :)
So I had 3 grand laying around, and as most of you know I have a car that was stolen, and is not in the best shape. The quest for most of us here is to have a vehicle that goes fast, so I got a really good deal on a ZX-6R
Youll notice the civic in the background
got rpm??
If you want to go fast...get one of these!! I put it down yesterday, and I was at 110 before I could say "my civic is slow". Its jetted, and has a Muzzy header and exhaust. 400lbs and 108hp. That would be like my civic having over 540!! The previous owner (works for the buell race team) ran a 10.43. Not to shabby

Nice bike can't say I love those colors but the 6R is a nice bike IMO. As a fellow sporbike rider I won't lecture you about wearing safety gear etc. that's your choice but do becareful man. I'm new to riding myself but to me there is nothing more pleasing then a 600cc sportbike. Nimble, lightweight, and the new ones are very fast but also quite a bit more dangerous. How long have you been riding? I envy you I'm still saving for a new R6 so no bike for me right now and there are so many beautiful days lately.
Have alot of fun (I'm sure you will) for the both of us man.

I took it for a slow drive around the block.
As far as gear goes...I bought an armored jacket and a nice helmet that I will wear 100% of the time..as well as my passangers. Riding is fun..but not worth dying for
Im taking off the stickers when I get back too

No helmet laws here in Illinois! wooo! I think we just need protective eyewear. Is it the same there in Ohio?
I like it that way because I feel wearing your seatbelt or a helmet should be up to you to decide not the state but in Ohio we have mandatory seatbelt laws but no helmet laws once you have your 6-12 months of riding done.

Damn! You paid 3grand for a bike that does 10.43? Thats awesome! I know little about streetbikes, but are most 600cc's and bigger that fast?
I like the way they look lowered and painted all one color, jmo. How much do those kind of bikes usually run price wise?
Anyways, cool bike man!

Very nice! Im gonna buy a bike next summer, a 600cc for sure. I figure paying around 5 g's for anything that will go a 170 is a good deal! Be careful those front end's have a tendency to lift off the ground!!!! (not really a bad thing though
)Have fun with it!
