Default Buying a skunk2 intake manifold for my b16a

i have been looking and researching the intake manifold for my jdm obd1 b16a engine and i have my eye on skunk2 intake manifold. i have searched and it says stock throttle body "maybe" reused. can someone please confirm this if i need to get a skunk2 throttle body? also does skunk2 intake manifold come with intake gasket and throttle body gasket ? thanks.

P.S jdm b16a stock throtlle body is 65 mm if i remember correctly..is it really worth to buy a skunk2 68mm throttle body for like around $250 shipped?

if the TB from the jdm b16 is the same as the usdm, you can re-use it. just buy a new throttle body gasket.

id do it right and buy the other tb for the extra money so you get the best out of your new intake manifold.

For the B16 you dont need a different Intake manifold unless your upping the compression or going with big cams (then you still need to up the compression) or a turbo setup. But to each their own. Yes your throttle body will bolt up to it as long as they are using the 4 bolt honda pattern. Where did you read the "maybe" from?

Unless you have cams and/or head work the Skunk 2 manifold can actually make the engine LOSE critical low/mid horsepower and torque.

I'd keep the stock manifold until you get serious enough to toss in better cams, bigger TB, head work, etc. etc.

EDIT:

Look like Luser kid beat me by 1 minute!!!

I had a S2 mani on my y8 with a Ls throttle body. the only thing that gave me problems was the fitting on the back of it for the coolant line. it was to close to another fitting and leaked. After taking it off 3 times i got it right and no leak. I also had a "plastic gasket" lol from Password JDM that helped w/ heat transfer. Just my .02 though.

PLEASE dyno the engine BEFORE you swap the manifold, and then dyno it afterwards.

Then my opinion about NOT buying it will make sense.
