So as you all know Auto SS= Fail , im saving up to get my swap to stick and my tranny is about to go out. Had just replaced it about 40k and this one as mentioned is dying soon. Im curious if there is another tranny besides the H22 that i can bolt up without major mods as a quick fix so i can still drive while my manual swap gets pieced together. I know The SS feature will not work with any other but i just want to have a car to get around in. ANY SUGGESTIONS BESIDES TYPICAL MANUAL SWAP FOR NOW. Anything help please.
run some honda ATF through it, and drive VERY GENTLY....
if you wanna cut down on cost for manual swap.. do it yourself and put in an h23 tranny (M2S4 IIRC) m2a4/m2f4/m2b4 will be more expensive.
As far as I know, you can't throw a regular auto tranny in there and make it work unless if you put hella work into it. i know the auto tranny's bolt up to the h22.. but then i'd think you'd need a diff ECU + do an auto to lesser auto swap.
