2007 cr-v moan/groan from rear diff?
my 07 cr-v having a problem
moan/groan during a sharp turn even on reverse bring it back to the dealer and said they did change the oil on rear diff per tsb 07-024 that should take care of it
now the cr-v is fine no moan/groan for now
there is a tsb 07-021 with vin# refering to it...my vin# is one of them the dealer didnt take care/fix it under this tsb...i ask them why they said that is the latest procedure - tsb 07-024...any ideas what to do
this is from honda service
replace the rear diff fluid
and burnish the rear diff clutches

Hmm.. What's your VIN. Anyways. The difference between the two bulletins is that 07-021 pertains to the rear diff making noise while turning at low speeds in cold weather. SB 07-024 pertains to the rear diff just making noise while turning at low speeds in warm weather. As to whether it falls within the range or not, I don't think that's an issue. If your CRV makes noise while turning in cold weather, it'll make that noise as soon as they go out for another test drive. The one I dealt with made noise again right after I changed the fluid.
So in other words, if your CRV isn't making any more noise, it's ok. Either way you didn't have to pay for it.

yes the V is now fine but i dont drive it much anyway...i got it a year now and its only 7200 miles the longest travel i made with the car is hershey park
i m just concerne why the dealer didnt consider tsb07-021 if my vin# false in the vin# range list on the same tsb
i read in other forum is that not all V is the same...one V has the same problem and same procedure done as per 07-024 in a month or so the problem came back and others is the same as what you have said...im just trying to avoid any hassle in keep coming back to the dealer with the same problem since i know what should have done in the first place
i didnt pay for anything cuz its under warantty

I was never a fan of that VIN range stuff. I've seen cars in and out of VIN ranges do exactly what the bulletins pertain to. Just because it's listed as falling into that range, doesn't mean it should fail. And as far as having trouble later down the road. If that happens, Honda can pull up the warranty history and see what's been done to the vehicle.
for now im good...well if it problem occur again then i will be back to them and will ask if they can do 07-021 instead of just changing fluid/oil
im just hoping it wont happen this coming holiday...planning to drive to SC to visit some family

We had that problem with our '06. theres a bulletin out for the rear diff fluid. Apparently the newer crv's go through the old dual pump fluid in about 25% of the time of the old one. We had to have ours done at 20,000 kms. It was night and day with the new fluid.
They changed the bullitin in the last few months for the crvs VIN- thru Vin- making noise in the rear diff remove dual pump 1 replace with dual pump 2.
For a few weeks some models said replace diff. before they came out with dual pump 2 . I sold 2 diffs they had to send from japan before they were backordered . the dual pump 2 seems to fix the noises.
