Default ALright CRX owners, gimme some help!

i have a 88 DX
no a/c belt and new alt belt
recently, as the weather has gotten colder something(i hitnk its the alt belt) has starting squeeking. I figured out that when i have the heat on the thing squeeks louder and louder but as soon as i turn the heat off and shift into neutral then into gear, it will stop. Anyone know what going on?
my belt snapped once before in august for unknown reasons and i would like to try and avoid that again

Its your alternator belt, as your car demands more power the alternator becomes harder to spin and thus the belts slips a little, adjust it and tighten is all it needs

Remember to use OEM belts. I had an autozone one on it and it squeaked. Then I went with an OEM belt from Honda and had no problems at all. Who knows why...

definitely the alt belt. if you get a quality belt from most parts stores you'll be fine. clean both pulleys with laquer thinner or degreaser and adjust the tension of the belt. i dont use belt dressing but i guess it couldnt hurt right?

With the belt on and at proper tension as suggest by the manufactor, check to make sure that the iner side of the belt desn't touch the botto of the pulley. If it does, you have the wrong size/width belt. Go OEM.

OEM seems the way to go. Gotta check the belt
got mine from Advance Auto parts

3PK 770B - Bando
