hey guys i have a buddy that is willing to spray my car for a case of beer so im gonna take him up on that deal..lol...im going to have a paint store (wesco) mix up some paint for me but i have no idea how much to get? and how much clear also? thanks!

With reducer 3 quarts is a safe bet and can stretch it out to 1.5 gallons. You may be able to get by with 2 quarts. 3 quarts for clear but get a gallon and put a few extra coats on, if only on the high wear areas like the front of the car.

 

yeah id go with a gallon of paint and a gallon of clear, with reducers you can strech that matrial out even further, and if you ever get hit or the cars paint ets fucked you ahve xtra to touch it up.

 

what kind of paint are you using? For example ppg clear is a bit thicker than dupont when reduced properly. I spray ppg in my shop and it usually takes about a gallon of base and a gallon of clear depending on how deep you want the finish to look. I would do a gallon of each to be safe
