I drive my hatch daily and one day it just turned off like if the fuel pump gave out. But i have a new fuel pump and filter. The car turned off yesterday 3 times in traffic and at my front door( like she knew she was home ). After that I went to my g/f's house and that's where it stayed. It didn't want to start anymore.

I suppose that it could be a relay, but which one? Any ideas of what it is?

You need to start diagnosing the problem rather than just buying and replacing parts. Did you know it was a fuel problem before you replaced the pump? Are you still having fuel problems now, or is it ignition, could be one of many things wrong.

 

one thing you can do is loosen the service port on the fuel filter top and see if their is fuel pressure with the key off. turn the hey on and then open it if the main relay is working their will be pressure if not i would start looking at a main fuel replay.the relay is near the under dash fuse box to the left. here is a daig part.

 

check your coil/ ignitor in the distributor..... look for burnt marks etc..
