Default POST blacked out emblems?

I dont like the way my rear chrome plated emblems look, doesnt match my panda theme too well.

I'm going to paint them black or dark grey, just wanted to see how well it has come out for some of you guys.

My emblems include:
-The H
-"Honda"
-"Accord"
-My trim level.

And before anyone asks, I dont want to roll around with emblem holes or have my trunk grinded down and shaved just yet.

before

just did mine**

(i know some of the emblems are not distinguishable but trust me, they're readable in person.)

I'm not sure if I have any pics, but I blacked out my front emblem - it looked good. but usually every 2 years or so I had to repaint it cuz the black always chipped from the rocks. It's been painted for about 7 years now.

Yea the chrome plating makes the paint not adhere well.

You have to soak the emblems in bleach for 24-48 hours to fully strip the chrome off.

my buddy Noel did a diy.

Why? They are plastic.

Lol, anyway, I like mine the way they are. They're not overdone, and I enjoy them that way. Besides, with my car, if I made the black on the emblems glossy, it'd just look like they were left on when the car was painted, haha.

someone w/ a fg2 painted their emblems dark chrome w/ duplicolor metalcast smoke

I like the finish but i think they're still a little too bright, maybe needs some more coats.

here's a picture of my panda

as you can see, blacked out emblems would fit my bumpers and spoiler well.

Do you have any picctures?

The guy that sprayed the emblems on his fg2, used 5 coats!

geez, after that many coats and they're only that color I'm def sure its too light. Maybe it'll work better as a final coat over dark black.
