my tranny just died i need help
i currently have a 2000 si em1. just rebuilt the engine again and now i need to rebuild the tranny again. car has 80k miles. i bought this car from a dude running nos totally effed it up so ive been spending time and money fixing it only to run into the same issues. i do abuse the car a little but im 24 and know how to drive. i dont even know where to begin. perhaps i just need some advice on this situation. i have spent soo much money on this car. over 20k easy and have very little to show for it. my tranny is dead thats like 900-1500 to fix. also if you look at my recent posts this car was just hit recently also. Now with all of this being said i am ready to sell my car. but do i get it fixed first? also i hate car payments what car could live up to the car i have now??? i have quiafe diff carbon fiber fenders hood grill trunk. keep in mind my body is fuct except the carbon fiber stuff and the seibon hood is yellowing slightly. the carbon weave also doesnt match the fenders are erubuni. also i have hytech header, blox im, weapon r ram intake, 2.5 cat back custom exhaust vibrant black muffler. also kyb agx, vafc2, minor port and polish of head. the bad. my interior is faded leather imitation, the plastic interior is scratched from putting my mountain bike in the car. sorry i live in a high crime area and the cannondale is the last thing i want stolen especially when my car is broke. the paint is hurt. I do have a settlement check from the girl that hit me for like 1500. to repair everything and paint the car from the doors back its 1800. this doesnt include fixing my scratched rim. this estimate goes outside of the damage caused by the 17 year old that hit me i just figured paint the pink door on the other side also. so here i am i love my car. its a great performer just rattles and interior is not in the best condition. what do i do???? do i fix the tranny 1500 paint it 1500 then my interior is still not to par i have mismatching carbon fiber. i wish i didnt get those z3 carbon fenders they were just the cheapest solution at the time. i really wish the seibon didnt yellow cause thats exspensive brand ****. also i really really would like a clean start. cars im considering are priced around 15k. 15k doesnt get you that much. i was thinking an ITR. this would be perfect it has lsd and more torque and revs higher. i love high reving. i was also thinking rsx type s. i like the 05 because of the final drive gear and the extra horses. the added weight sucks but final drive is important if you add power. also the rsx lacks a diff which sucks. adding a diff to a rsx is like a 700 dollar job 350 used diff 350 labor. also i have a number of parts not installed on my SI do i install or sell them? i really like the s2k and infact it doesnt matter ap1 or ap2. id like a 2002-2004 because they are in my price range and have glass window. i dont like the ap1s diffs but i love the redline and the hp per liter factor. additionally the rsx handles like **** when compared to the em1 and itr. this also haunts the new civic si. i like it and it has a differential but it is heavy and handling isnt all that great. please dont flame but the rx8 is a contender also. it fits in the price range handles well but the engine doesnt live up to par. i tend to add a 100 pounds to all my cars with my audio systems so that may be another factor. i am scaling down from a 13w7 though. i gotta get rid of that thing and get 2 10w6v2s or something. it is too excessive. i really like the itr with like 2 10s in a small clean enclosure. problem the itr is hard to find. they all have salvage titles, ugly green rims, stupid stripes, high mileage, and the list goes on. now this is my situation. i have a decent job but i really have a hard time scaling down my ride as far as performance is concerned that is why im hating on the rsx. i love the k series but handling is mas importante!!!! the fj2 is more considerable because of the lsd but the price is a little high along with the s2k. also i turn 25 in december so my insurance should drop. and i need a daily driver asap but i love having fun in my car single and no kids just a dog. i know this is a long post and there is tons of rambling but i still have 2 hours of work gotta love those 12 hour days.

Something about a tranny dying.. and then talk of how your hood is carbon fiber... ? Your post is well written, but too long and way off topic. Whats the main issue in question?
