Default I just purchased a 96 coupe

turns out there is a severe amount of frame damage. I went to a body shop, and they told me that it was going to be roughly 6,000 dollars to fix. how dangerous can this be? is it safe for me to drive the car? both airbags have been deployed already in a previous accident and have yet to be serviced. also, the frame of the driver's seat is bent. how bad is this? please give me your honest detailed opinions.

I would not invest a cent in that car, or try to go fast in it either...

Wow. $6000 can almost get you a 99/2000 SI clean title.

I would have a talk with the seller and get him to take it back. He should have made you aware of the extensive damage along with the fact that its a salvaged vehicle. 6k in frame damage is something you dont hide.

Ummm, yeah. A few years back when my (at the time) g-f rear ended me, the TOTAL damage was only about 6k, and that's frame time, parts, labor, etc. If you had no knowledge of the frame damage, then you need to get your money back. Heck, I am trying to selly my '97 coupe for $3-4k and it drives and looks great.

2,500, you really got ripped off. i paid only 500 for my hatch and all it need was a motor. even after buying the motor it still didnt reach 2,500.

Did you drive to the shop? If you did get a second opinion. In the mean time, get some bail money together, afterwhich I would drive that ****** into the sellers livingroom. That's just me I'm violent like that.
