Has anyone cut the black plastic bars out of the opening in the front bumper? Does it weaken the overall strength of the bumper and/or cause it to sag? Thanks.

 

Havent cut it out myself on my DC5, but I doubt it holds anything up. Its "semi" loose when you push it with your hands. I know people have cut out the grill on DC5, but not EP3. Should be the same? *shrug*

 

It's perfectly strong enough w/o it.

it wont weaken the bumper but i think it looks like poo without a nice front mount right behind it. the best way would be a dremel but a nice sharp razor knife or box cutter will work.

Agreed. Previous owner did this to mine to install gay Walz-Mart fogs. I wouldn't have done it. But I have cut bumper covers before:

Box cutter with lots of extra blades + heat gun = butter.
