So I just put the R away, now the thieves want my beater???
Dudes i can't believe this ****... I had no thefts around my ITR all summer... Now a week since i put my R away, ****** kids probably tried either busting in my RS to steal my cheap pioneer radio or something. They tried going through my window with a rod to unlock the doors but since i didnt have power locks that was a failed attempt. I can see they turned all the window rubber inside of the window.
After that, they figured they would change their strategy to get in the car, so they ruined my doorlock with a flat screwdriver to try and unlock the doors. Since a valet key is all i had, I can't even unlock my own damn car with my key now... I need to change the door lock... around 100$ at acura, and i need to get the door unlocked by a professionnal...
So if i install the doorlock myself, should run me about 150$ total for this failed attempt on my proprety.
On the bright side, it wasn't the R, and they didnt succeed, but i'm scared they'll be back... They could also have been after my ITR seats, but i couldn't be sure.
So does anyone know if its a hard thing to switch doorlocks once all the door interior is removed? is it like 3 small philips head screws to remove the door lock or something? I sure hope so!
Watch out for your **** people!!

I don't know if your car (beater) is parked in a location to help prevent the theft of your R, but be aware they may be setting themselves up for an attempt at your R as well.

My R is safe for the winter, however i am also concerned about this since they know where i live.. however my R has no steering wheel in it nor do i ever leave the radio and is not a car easy to steal for the average newjack thieves these guys seam to be so i don't know, but trying to force a doorlock is pretty newbish to me, don't you think?

A friend and I took the door lock out of my old del Sol once (someone broke a key off in it) and it was pretty easy to get out, iirc. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.

I say we do public hangings for thieves. Or cut a hand off like they use to in the old days.

In this case a keyhole for an eye... heh...
Just be on alert for them to come back, and when they do be ready. Don't scare them off before you get a couple of headshots with a Louisville Slugger or something of the equivalent. Have a gun for back up.

put up a cam that will survay your driveway they are prit cheap now you can pick them up for around 200$ also try putting a motion sensor with lights. there are lots of ways to help prevent but its just a pain in the *** and its not cheap to guard your car. Best way IMO is get a fence and a dog with big Fing teeff
best of luck with you hope your car stays safe

at least the r is safe, i had my r with a project teg at a aunts house in her garage. She left the garage door open over night and some one came in and went threw my ls and found my yellow stiched itr steering wheel for my r. I just got it that day and they jacked it I was pissed but was more happy they didnt remove the car cover from my r that was right next to my ls.
did you ever think of installing the 4 door rear handles into ur integra? i heard that to prevent theft or more damage to the door they fit 4 door rear handles to take out the key lock.... or is it possible to relocate the key hole....
at least the R is safe. on the brighter side.
