Car cuts off then comes back on...

i have a 93 hatch w/ an obd1 gsr swap

when i was driving today the car cut off then turned back on in lik e 2 seconds....what would cause this?
bad battery?
starter?
battery connectors dirty?
fuel?
also my car hasn't been wanting to start. i have to hold it for a while or try it a second time. why does it do this?

fuel related problem?
ignition? what do i check?

do you make it re start? or does it all just randomly turn off then turn back on

Ignition switch maybe?

well i figured the problem to the car cutting on and off. i battery connector was loose. but the car still feels like it struggles to start. you guys know what i mean. could that be the fuel ssytem?
