i got a 1990 accord, ex, auto. when i start it up and its cold outside, im talkin bout 50 degrees or below, 3 mins after i turn it on, it dies. i then have to wait about 5 mins of it just sitting to start up again. then it doesnt die anymore. any help?? let me kno what other info u need. thanks
icm sounds like it is done. very common when the engine comes to temp the igniter will over heat and shut down and if you wait for a bit it wil lstart back up and start the cycle over again.

what he said, but it could be another item as well so you need to test the ignitor to make sure that it is the problem before you start just blindly replacing stuff.

How do you go about checking if this is the case. My car (94 Accord) also does the same thing. Ill start it, then in a couple of minutes, even though Im accelerating, it just dies off. I try to restart, and it takes a couple of cranks before it will restart again.
