5gen Short shifter test
I received this email today about a short shifter for the 5 gen. Just to let others know and maybe get more interest in this. I'm not involved with this company in anyway , just wanted to post it to see if others were interested.
Hey everyone! Just wanted to send everyone an update on the progress of the 97-01 Prelude short shifter.
As of last week I gave the go ahead to build 2 prototypes of the shifter. Designs came back good so I wanted to get something in my hand soon to start testing. One shifter will be getting installed in a local 5gen owners Prelude and the other will be shipped out shortly after to one lucky 5gen owner to do some testing with and provide feedback.
No pricing has been set yet because we are not yet to the production of the final unit. Once this becomes available I will let everyone know. Due to the demand for the product I will hopefully be able to do a very large initial run to cut down on costs. Which leads me to the next thing...
Please help spread the word! Whether it be by word of mouth or letting others know around the internet on message forums and such...any help is appreciated! I know everyone has been waiting on this for a long time and some might have thought it was never going to get done (including me!), but we're very close and I can't spread the word without everyones help.
So thanks for signing up on the site and please link others there to be notified of updates also!
P.S. - Is anyone aware of a company that successfully designed a cooling plate for the 5gen?

You're high on the list of possibly testers. I'll let you know.
Extension versions will be worked on after this prototype is finished up. How high did you want over stock??

Let me take some pictures of my car to show you. It's a stock shifter, and I'm thinking 1" taller than stock. I'm not sure if that will be too tall for the center net, though. I'll check the distance between the net and the shift ****.
with Christmas around the corner I wish santa would have a 5th gen short shifter in my stocking.
any date or word on when you'll start full scale production?

Any day I should have the prototypes in my hand and begin testing!
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll make it to production before Christmas.
They might be IN production, but highly doubtful they'll be available for sale.

One lucky luder will get a test unit to bang on for a while if the test fit in a local 5gen goes ok. Person yet to be determined!

I received this email last night.
Just a quick update for everyone-
The prototypes had a delay due to waiting on some stainless parts from overseas that ended up not working out. The rest of the parts are ready to go, so as soon as the ball comes in we're waiting for, the prototypes will be finished and begin testing.
I wanted to thank everyone for helping spread the word about these 5gen shifters. After my last email I saw many threads online about it posted by people who received the email, so thank you for that! It is greatly appreciated!
Sorry for the short update, but wanted to let everyone know that things are still moving forward.
Thanks,
Jeremy Lockhart
