I just got this Lude, and it has a JDM H22A in it, the car was manufactured in Japan. My problem, I am having is this, first off I have only a stock exhaust, and short ram intake. The ECU is chipped to eliminate rev limiter, and top speed limiter, etc.
The problem, is that when the car is cold, it starts up and instead of like my 90 Accord F22A4, when it started went to like 2,000RPM's until it was warm. This engine, starts, and immediately goes to idle speed. Well the car is cold, so it needs more gas to warm up, so it climbs in idle, then falls back to idle. Then, it fluctuates. If I drive it when it's cold, it spits and sputters, and the transmission acts like it doesn't have the power to pull it. from first to third, it hops. My VTEC kicks on at around 7,000RPM's, and used to work fine, but now the car is acting like it doesn't want to go that high. It acts like it is struggling to get there. Before, like a week ago, it was effortless! When VTEC kicked on it was like a turbo! It was sooo fast! Now it's acting like it can't get there. Engine has perfect gold oil, and about 60K miles. When it is cold it sputters, and acts like it doesn't want to go, then after she warms up to normal temp she drives fine, except when I attempt high RPM's above 5K. That's when it acts like it doesn't want to go. Can someone please help?
