7th gen accord radio problem, please help!
This problem is actually on behalf of my cousin who drives a 2004 accord coupe v6. One day while we were driving, his stereo just cut out. The screen on the console went out and both of the plugs (one in the front of the console and one in the storage compartment) wont work. His a/c and all of the temperature features work, but the screen doesn't.
He has tried replacing the fuse, but no luck. Can this be an electrical problem that can only be resolved at the dealership? His warranty expired just like a month before this happened; kind of ironic.....
What do you guys propose that he do?

so is this an intermitting problem or its completely out right now? if its not the fuses, try to find a wiring diagram for the factory harness and get a multimeter and find the power wire and see if your getting power, if so bad radio.
Before you spend money on diagnostics or on a new radio, consider spending about $150 on a kit and another $150 on an aftermarket radio.
There are some incredible aftermarket radios out there for $150 to $200. The one I tossed into my Camry has a USB port on the front of it - I love it, I just keep a 2GB flash drive loaded with music / podcasts from my computer and just plug it directly into the radio.

I think that's only if the display goes dark, not if it dies completely. Besides this guy says his power outlets are dead too. So it's likely a power supply issue.

Dealerships will often times "goodwill" warranty radio replacements on these vehicles since there is a known problem.
I work at a dealership in MI and we see these everyday. Contact your dealership and ask them what they can do for you.

Had a question, my mom has an '07 SE which has the in-dash 6-disk CD changer. She says that it is telling her "eject disk", but nothing comes out and she can't put a new one in. Does that sound like a common problem or do you think that she has a CD stuck in there?
And if it is a stuck CD, would that be covered under warranty or would that be considered something caused by the owner, thus not under warranty?
Thanks!

The first thing they are going to ask her is if she used adhesive cd labels.
If she hasn't done anything abnormal tell her to take it to the dealership and they should replace it no problem.
We have seen this problem quite a few times also.

Is a problem like this intermittent or constant?
My mom took her car to the dealer to have them look at the radio as well as to have an oil change done, the mechanic turned on the radio and it worked just fine.
She just bought the car six months ago so it'll be under warranty for a while. Also, she doesn't use CDs with aftermarket labels - literally the only CDs she listens to are books on CD from the library.

As everyone has said....
Honda will fix this issue
I just bought a used 04 Accord , I asked for the service records and the CD/Radio was not yet replaced. Honda Dealership said if i EVER had any issues with the radio could I bring it back with copy of service record print out they gave me & they'd fix it no questions asked

Had the same problem, just check the fuse 32 inside driver´s dash, is a 7.5A one, inside the fuse box under the hood you can find a spare of the same Amp.
Then you only need the radio code.
