Default Freshly Built Ls Vtec oil prob

Hey guys, my problem started a couple of days ago. To start things off, I was driving down the street and was going to hit vtec but I never crossed over. So went home immediately and as I was driving down my road and was about to pull into my driveway I took my car out of gear and noticed my rpms drop really low(like 100). So I rev'd it a bit to see if I would resume my correct idle and on the descend my idle never caught and I stalled. So I checked the oil thinking that I wasnt holding pressure or I was low and thats why my vtec wouldnt engage but it was fine. Then today I noticed that I was very low on oil and checked under my car and the whole driver side under my car is saturated with oil. The right side is fine but only on the left and it everything above the alternator is spotless. My Idle also corrected itself and is now fine but something is deff. wrong. Anything come to mind? If it would help i'll take pics and post them.

something didnt seal properly. when you did it did you change the oil pump/front main seal. if not thats where it could be leaking out from

was everything brand new when you put it together? could be that the oil pan wasnt sealed correctly. if the gasket was smashed then it will leak. and did you seal the oil pump correctly onto the block

run the car, then go look in the engine bay....

my problem was that on a brand new hose i was using, there was a slit run through it and oil leaked out of the side of my brand new hose, would have never guesed.

depending on where they are feeding your oil from, weather it be knock sensor or a tapped hole, check those fitting as well, or where the oil feed meets the head.

check your oil pan gasket, and more importantly your vtec external oil line.
