Default Electric Problem: Short or fuse problem?

Hi i just bought a 90 crx si and all my gauges work except my lighting...(gauge cluster lights) and curtosey lights(rear lights) arent functional. My tailights and brake lights are working fine but everything listed above isnt working....is this a Short...or possibly a fuse problem...and any suggestions if i should try and fix it myself or take it to a specialist.

thanks

check the fuses under the dash to see if any are burned out. if so you need to replace them
