I just bought a 98 Ek with an H22 full swap and it is very difficult to get into 1,3,5 gear. I can get it into gear but its pritty hard to do it. Once its in gear the car rides good and the gears dont pop out. 2,4 go in easy but the top gears are hard. Any info would help.

 

Theres a couple possibilities that I have experienced, I assuming it has a h-series trans. One thing I have experienced is the shifter cables actually stretched, making it hard to get into gear. Also where the cables connect to the trans, beneath the 2 levers where the cables connect to, theres a bolt that has a tendency to break and will slowly work its way out. Hope this helps
