Won't go into gear
Damn, one thing after another...but I love this car...
So when I tried to leave today, the car would not shift into gear. I could shift it into gear when the car was off, but when its on I can't get it into gear for nothing. But if I start it when the car in first gear, I can shift, but it takes a lot of effort. But then after a few tries, it felt like the clutch wasn't disengaging because it would jerk forward a bit when starting it.
When I say it won't go into gear, I mean I can't put the car in 1st-5th gear or reverse. Any ideas? I'm thinking its the clutch. And if thats what it is, then I'm gonna go all out and just change the clutch and the flywheel.

Check transmission fluid, slave cylinder, and master cylinder first and foremost. There's many, many topics covering this dilemma. I'd know cos it just happened to me as well; bought a new clutch and flywheel and it turned out to be the master & slave.
She runs like a champ now.
Search master & slave cylinder under the prelude section, be sure to hit the archived content radio button.

i had same problem
check if clutch fluid is leaking before changing whole clutch kit..
if ur clutch pedal has no pressure or it's all the way to the floor its prolly leaking problem which will costs around 600

clutch leaking? you mean the clutch system? which is master/slave cylinder? if so, that is not 600$... under 100$ for parts, and maybe an hour...
The clutch still has pressure, and I know it'll engage because if i start the car with the the gears in 1st, the car will jerk foward a bit.
Where are all those parts located? By the the transmission? This is a 97 base model btw..

Turns out the clutch slave cylinder was leaking. Went ahead and replaced both the slave and the master.
