are you serious? do you know anything about honda motors? turbos? obviously not....

Take a B20, drop a B16 head on there...theres your vtec and 2 liter build. get a turbo, run 10 psi, call it a day.

Of course theres A LOT more information you will need and we CANNOT tell you everything. Maybe spend some time searching for what your looking for.

You could do either for ANY application. you could get a B20, put a LS crank in there, BOOM now you have a 2 liter ls/vtec. Research for yourself man.

Honda engineers - "Let's see how thin we can make these sleeves, no seriously, it'll be funny."

while we are on the topic, why don't we put some forged pistons into an H22?

^ Mahle makes pistons that work with the FRM sleeves.

yes, but I believe they are the only ones. (worth a damn anyway)

It just seems to me that Honda designed a lot of motors, that weren't intended to be boosted. (Well, obviously, none of them are) but some, like the b20 and the H22 just present so much headache about it.

Not necessarily... H-Series make great power stock, under boost. A few friends of mine did the following:

projekteg (Kevin) - H23/VTEC, OEM component engine, only ARP head studs and MLS head gasket. The engine made 509whp, and ran for quite a while without a hitch. Ran 11.3 in a full weight EM1 Si.

import jedi (Larry) - 100% stock H22 engine, absolutely STOCK, IABs, everything. Made 420whp, after 60+ dyno pulls, still perfect compression/leak down, and zero oil leaks. Took the car the track that night, and was running mid-11s all night long in a full weight '93 Civic.

H-Series + Boost = t3h secks

I'm just going to spray the hell out of mine until I can come up with the money to do a decent turbo system for it.

who the hell tuned those setups? I've heard a lot of horror stories behind 350whp H22 blowing up. Whoever did the tuning on those must be a friggin' god of tuning. LOL.

Did that EM1 run slicks?

H22 Hatchbacks are the closest thing you'll get to a Honda "muscle" car. I freeking love them. About 4 years ago when I was still driving my GSR hatch, a friend of mine from school had a bone stock H22 Type S in an EG, on a 50 shot. I saw him pull a low 12 second pass on MT slicks that summer. Insanity.

To the OP:
Try the Hybrid forums. This has nothing to do with the Integra Type R.

The said owners did the tuning themselves, on CROME.

I have videos of each car as proof of their performance.

And yes, the EM1 was running 21" slicks (EL OH EL) and spinning them through the traps.

Ask him about the time he drilled his oil drain for the turbo on the back side of his pan

On a serious note....i'd do the b24 with B16 head, 8lbs of boost and a 75shot of NOS! thats probably your best bet if your looking for a daily driver with good reliability!
