Default Valve Replacement

I got a 1991 DX Hatch with a 1994 del sol si D16Z6 engine and the timing belt broke...good news is that it still runs...it is rough when it idles but if u get it around 2000 rpm's then it is fine...the mechanic who put the engine in and has done all the work on it says that honda's valves are small enough that he has seen them bend back to normal after use...i find this hard to believe...another trusted mechanic told me that the engine will blow because of the valves being bent a little and that it will blow before the valves bend back....what do i believe and is replacing valves difficult/worth it? how much would it cost?

Wow, never take your car to those mechanics ever again. I would never re-use bent valves. Yes, your motor will more than likely blow with bent valves.

How much? Depends on who's trying to rip you off.
