Instaling an XSi obd1 JDM b16 in a 94 Civic?????????
Ok I flew home to Hawaii and helped my brother in a motor swap in his 94 Si. He bought a motor from Nippon and come to find out it was from the 92-93 Integra's. So I gathered parts from here in SoCal (GSR axles, mounts, and other misc). Well when I arrived to see the motor and the car I seen that it was from a XSi. "Problem" the mount protruding though timing cover (I'm refering to as the engine mount) could not be used since it was for the 92-93 Integra. So we installed the motor and utilizing the engine mount from his stock SOHC motor and mating it to the motor mounts that I got from an Integra. Well due to limited time I had there I was not able to futher diagnose this problem. His passenger side CV shaft's inner tripod joint keeps popping out of socket. Can anyone tell me if this is due to him using a SOHC engine mount? Does anyone know if the 94+ Integra engine mounts are different Thanks in advance

I've never done that swap but I can tell you this which might help you. I installed a 96 B18B1 into my 91 CRX. Since the HASport EF Billet kit is made to be used with B16A or 90-93 Integra mount brackets I had to change mine. I took off the timing side bracket and rear bracket from the motor and replaced them with ones from a 93 Integra. I would say you need to do the opposite: remove the timing side + rear brackets and change them with those from a 94-01 Integra.
make sure there is a little ring around the inner spline of the axle, and i believe that the motor mount should be the same as a single
