Here is the question I know from Bisimoto he told me that the strongest trannys were from a 96-00 civic and 88-91 crx I belive but the thing is that I did a swap for this kid and well he is not picking the motor up I guess so the tranny is the question does it have long or short gears does anyone know?

No, it wont have gearing like the Y8/Z6 trannys do. Their just like the y7's gearbox as far as i know.

Same as coupe/sedan Y7's, but has the big bearing case, meaning you can put a LSD in it.

 

I'm not sure what the gear ratios re on the D16Y5 transmission. But the D16Y5 is a motor designed for high fuel economy. And as such, I would think the D16Y5 transmission HAS to have some tall gear ratios. In other words, it is probably not a good performance transmission.
