Default ECU question..

Is it ok to use a b16 si ecu if you have a b8c5 motor?

they are completely different maps.

Type-R has
more aggressive cams
larger port
8500 rpm redline
different I/M

off the top of my head those are known differences over the b16 which warrant the different maps.

if you are looking for ECU alternatives, get a chipped p28 with crome on it.
