I know I've seen $460 shipped with a lifetime limited warranty.
Ah well, the mistakes we make along the way are part of the learning process.
This same process tends to destroy your pocketbook sometimes, but I'm glad you're happy with your purchase.

i wouldnt call yellows "better" than illuminas. i think illuminas are better for most ppl here looking to upgrade their shocks. but yellows certainly are more expensive than illuminas. the biggest advantage koni has is that they are rebuildable and revalveable. none of which is cheap and only adds on to the cost of the shock. and they really need to be revalved for real competitive use since the compression isnt adjustable. whereas illuminas adjust both compression and rebound and i have personally found more useable on both the street and track for a wide variety of springs and purposes.
[/opinion]
OP, did you pay $500 for the shock and spring combo? or just the shocks? do you live outside of the US?

Doesn't look like the Illuminas adjust compression damping at all in front, and barely in on the rear:
Front shocks:

Rear shocks:

I just like the Konis better because they're infinitely adjustable (if you count 1/4 turns, that's 8 positions available for a total of 1 3/4 turns), and also for the height adjustable options available.

the fact is that they do. ive shown they do as thats my graph of the rear shock. that front graph is from koni's website sales slideshow. i havent had a chance to dyno the fronts myself, but from what i heard from OTHER independent sources who have dyno'd tokicos, they in fact DO. infer from that whatever you want.
as for "barely", compression is always at a lower value than rebound. that graph reflects that. ive heard a rule of thumb is 1:3 ratio. focus your attention at the lowspeed part of the graph as thats the real performance area anyway. youll see that its hardly insignificant as the descriptive word "barely" would imply.
konis dont.
really, not making a pissing match, "fanboy" argument or whatever. ive clearly stated whats my opinion, whats fact, and whats conjecture.

I Just installed illuminas and i love the adjustability. I live around very rough roads, so i set my struts 1 front and 1 rear. Its rides just like stock and is so comforable. When im on smoother portions of the city i can up the front 3 and rear to 2. Im on stock springs too btw. I bought mine for $365 shipped
