map sensor
does anyone know if there is a way to bypass the map sensor to make the car idle normal? my map sensor is bad and i cant get it till next week and i was wondering if there was anyway to wire it or bypass it where the ecu will think the map sensor is working properly?
Bypassing the MAP sensor is not a good idea. The Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor determines fuel input. MAP's dont determine Idle, your IACv (and fitv) do that. There really is no way that im aware of to "fool" the sensor into thinking its reading properly. Being that theres a change in manifold pressure between RPM's, its not like its looking to get one set reading.
