okay so I want an intake system, not for power but for gas mileage. What is the best thing?
also I heard that short ram intake systems may cause hydro-lock I have already replaced my engine once. I also heard that a bypass valve will keep my engine from locking up. Any advice?

The messaging system here on Honda-Tech uses a "pop-up". If you're blocking pop-ups from https://honda-tech.com, you're going to miss instant messages, as well as, all messages regarding locked/deleted threads/posts.

Your previous thread was locked, due to the fact that this thread is a common one, and the answer would be provided via a very simple search.

all intakes do crap for our d17. also a short ram will not cause hydro lock since its a SHORT ram. You're confusing this with a cold air intake.

If you're looking for a SRI then just go for the common ones such as aem v2 or the injen. Both will provide the same amount of non-performance. As for gas saving, that all depends on ur driving.
